Every package goes on decontaminated glass with computer-cut film for an edge-to-edge fit — the same process whichever series you pick. The film is what changes, not the standard of the install.

Entry level

3M FX-HP Series

$375starting

The entry point into genuine 3M film. A dyed and metalized construction that still delivers real heat and UV performance at the lowest price in the range. It is older technology than the other three, and because it is metalized it can occasionally interfere with GPS, radio or a toll transponder — we will tell you that before you book rather than after.

  • Up to 65% solar energy rejection
  • Up to 99% UV protection
  • The most affordable genuine 3M film
  • Metalized — may affect GPS or toll signal

Best for: Budget-focused buyers who still want real UV and heat protection.

Mid-grade

3M Color Stable Series

$550starting

A meaningful step up. Non-metalized, using 3M’s patented dye technology, so the colour stays true instead of drifting purple the way cheap dyed film does after a few Colorado summers. No signal interference of any kind.

  • Up to 64% total solar energy rejection
  • Fade-resistant patented dye technology
  • Non-metalized — no signal interference
  • Blocks harmful UV

Best for: Drivers who rely on GPS, toll transponders or in-car electronics.

Premium ceramic

3M Ceramic IR Series

$600starting

Genuine ceramic film. Non-metalized nano-ceramic particles reject up to 95% of infrared heat, which is the part of sunlight you actually feel. 3M warrant it for as long as you own the vehicle.

  • Up to 95% infrared heat rejection
  • Non-metalized — no signal interference

3M’s flagship

3M Crystalline Series

$650starting

3M’s top film, and the one people come here for. Over 200 metal-free nano-layers reject up to 99% of heat-generating infrared — which means you can have the heat rejection without the dark glass. A 70% Crystalline windscreen looks almost untinted and still takes the heat out of the cabin.

  • Up to 99% infrared heat rejection
  • Stays light — no dark appearance needed
  • 200+ layer multilayer optical film
  • Non-metalized — no signal interference

Best for: Owners who want maximum heat rejection without going dark.

How window film works

What actually separates one tint from another.

Not darkness. Every film here blocks 99% of UV at every shade. What changes between them is how they deal with heat — and that comes down to what the film is made of.

Why is ceramic tint better than regular tint?

Because it targets the right part of sunlight. Regular dyed film blocks visible light, which is why it has to be dark to do anything — you are trading visibility for a bit of comfort. Ceramic film rejects infrared, and infrared is the part of sunlight you actually feel as heat. 3M’s Ceramic IR rejects up to 95% of it.

That is also why dyed film disappoints people. A 5% limo dyed tint looks like it should be the coolest thing on the lot and is not, because most of the heat is arriving in a wavelength the dye does nothing about. Then there is the metal problem: dyed film is usually paired with a metal layer to claw back some heat rejection, and metal in your glass is what interferes with GPS, radio and toll transponders.

Why is 3M Crystalline the best film we fit?

Because it is the only one that gives you the heat rejection without making the window dark. Crystalline is a multilayer optical film — over 200 layers, each tuned to reflect a specific wavelength, in a film 3M describe as thinner than a Post-it Note. It rejects up to 99% of heat-generating infrared and up to 64% of total solar energy, and it is non-metalized, so nothing in your car loses signal.

The number that proves it is the nearly clear one. 3M’s published total solar energy rejection on clear glass, by shade:

CR 70 · Nearly clear
44% TSER
CR 50 · Light
55% TSER
CR 40 · Light-medium
57% TSER
CR 30 · Medium
63% TSER
CR 15 · Dark
68% TSER

Read the first panel. A CR 70 Crystalline looks almost untinted and still rejects 44% of total solar energy. No dyed or metalized film comes near that at a shade you can see through — which is why Crystalline is the answer for a windscreen, for a leased car with a tint limit, or for anyone who wants the cabin cooler without the car looking blacked out.

Is 3M the top of the line for window tint?

3M hold the original patents on multilayer optical film, and Crystalline sits at the top of their own range, above Ceramic IR, Color Stable and FX-HP. That is 3M’s tiering, not ours.

What matters more for you is that every roll in this building is 3M. The cheapest option on this page is genuine FX-HP, not an unbranded roll with a 3M sticker on the box. That is the part most shops stay quiet about, and it is the only reason a 3M warranty is worth anything.

Years in the trade

Seventeen-plus years of professional detailing, and the owner is still the one on the bench. Tint is judged at the edges, and the edges are where a rushed job shows.

Genuine 3M, every roll

FX-HP, Color Stable, Ceramic IR and Crystalline — all four are real 3M product. There is no unbranded roll in the back for the price-sensitive job.

Ceramic IR is warranted for life

3M warrant the Ceramic IR series for as long as you own the vehicle. A warranty from the manufacturer only exists because the film is theirs.

Computer-cut, decontaminated first

Film is plotted to your vehicle’s glass, so no blade goes near it, and the glass is stripped before anything touches it. Whatever is under the film is under it for good.

Book it in the same visit

Glass is one surface. We do the other two.

Tint, film and coating are quoted and priced separately — never rolled into one number. Doing them together saves a second drop-off.

Three terms, three to nine years, all of them including full paint correction first. A coating is what makes the paint easier to wash and keeps the gloss; the tint is doing the same job for the interior.

Where we work

Window tinting across El Paso County.

Tint is in-shop work at 2725 N Nevada Ave. Customers drive in from across the county for it.

Window tint and window film are the same thing — film is what it actually is, tint is what everyone calls it, and both get searched here. We fit the full range of shades, 5% limo through to 70% near clear, in four genuine 3M films.

Colorado is hard on an interior in a specific way. At 6,035 feet the UV load is materially higher than at sea level, and it does to a dashboard and to seat leather exactly what it does to paint. A cracked dash costs more than the tint that would have prevented it.

Glass gets decontaminated before any film touches it and the film is plotted to your vehicle, so no blade goes near the glass. Most vehicles are in and out the same day.

Window tint questions

The things people actually ask.

Answered straight. If yours is not here, call the shop and ask.

How much does window tint cost in Colorado Springs?

At our North Nevada shop 3M FX-HP starts at $375, 3M Color Stable at $550, 3M Ceramic IR at $600 and 3M Crystalline, the flagship film, at $650. Those are starting prices — glass area and the number of windows set the final figure, and we confirm it on your vehicle before anything is cut.

What is the difference between ceramic tint and regular tint?

Regular dyed film blocks visible light, which is why it has to be dark to do anything. Ceramic film uses nano-ceramic particles to reject infrared — the part of sunlight you feel as heat — so it cuts cabin temperature without needing to be dark. 3M Ceramic IR rejects up to 95% of infrared, and Crystalline up to 99%.

Will window tint interfere with my GPS or phone signal?

Only one of the four films we fit can. FX-HP is metalized and may occasionally affect GPS, radio or a toll transponder. Color Stable, Ceramic IR and Crystalline are all non-metalized, so they do not interfere with GPS, radio, mobile signal or 5G.

My SUV already has privacy glass. Do I still need tint?

Factory privacy glass is dark-pigmented glass, not film — it does not reject heat and it does not block UV. Putting 3M film over it adds real heat and UV protection without changing how dark the windows look from outside.

How dark can I go?

We fit the full range, 5% limo through to 70% near clear. Tell us the look you are after and we will match it to a shade and a film.

Does tint help in Colorado specifically?

At 6,035 feet the UV load is materially higher than at sea level, and it works on a dashboard and on seat leather the same way it works on paint. Tint is the cheapest thing you can do to stop an interior going grey and cracking.

What film do you use?

3M, throughout. Every film in the building is 3M — window film and paint protection film both. We do not run a second brand and we do not substitute.

Ready when you are

Tell us the vehicle and what bothers you most.

Heat, glare, privacy or a dashboard going grey — the answer is a different film for each.

Send the year, make and model and what you are trying to fix. We will tell you which of the four 3M films fits and what it costs on your car, before you book anything.
