I brought my Audi R8 to ST6 Detailers for a 5-year ceramic coating over the vinyl wrap and also elected to have the rims re-coated. This is a show car, so I’m extremely careful about who I allow to work on it.
It was honestly a relief to bring the car to a company that knew exactly what they were doing and wasn’t learning or being trained on my vehicle. I’ve had some bad experiences with shops in the past, and finding someone with the proper experience and attention to detail to work on an R8 is harder than you would think.
The car came out phenomenal. The wrap looks incredible, the wheels came out great, and the level of care they took with the entire vehicle was exactly what I was looking for. I would absolutely trust ST6 Detailers with my R8 again and highly recommend them to anyone with a high-end or specialty vehicle.

I wanted to get my brand new 2026 Ford F-150 undercoated to help protect the frame and undercarriage from rust and corrosion, especially with Colorado winters. I heard these guys use Fluid Film, so I decided to give them a try. Brought my truck in and they did the entire undercoating for $350. Phenomenal job! They were thorough, knew exactly what they were doing, and the price was very reasonable. Definitely recommend these guys if you’re looking to protect your vehicle long-term.

What is this service, and who is it for?
Fluid Film automotive undercoating combines the ST6 wheels-off preparation process with a soft corrosion-inhibiting film. It starts at $325 for a car or crossover, $350 for a midsize SUV or midsize pickup, and $375 for a full-size SUV, full-size pickup or van. Allow approximately six hours and leave the vehicle for the day at our North Nevada Avenue shop. This is a preparation and application appointment, not simply a quick spray underneath a dirty vehicle.
What does the higher price buy?
The step up from a standalone wash purchases protective product application as well as the confirmed preparation. It includes lifting the vehicle, removing all four wheels, degreasing, appropriate iron-removal treatment and the tools needed for preparation. The standalone $225 wash is not automatically added to your treatment price. Larger vehicle categories increase the price by $25 per step.
Up to one year
Fluid Film’s automotive guidance describes up to a full year of protection. Use that as an annual planning interval, with coverage checked sooner where washing or abrasion has disturbed it. This soft film does not cure into hard paint. There is no paint-style curing step that explains the six-hour appointment; most of that booking window is the service process.

Clear answers, step by step.
What happens before the service begins?
We establish the vehicle category, look at accessible underside condition and identify the work that fits your appointment. Existing coatings, loose material, oily deposits and restricted access can change the preparation required. Tell us about previous rustproofing and any known leaks. A coating should not hide a condition that needs mechanical attention. If additional work is necessary, the scope and price should be agreed before it is performed.
What does underbody preparation actually address?
Degreasing addresses oily buildup. Washing removes loosened contamination and residue. Appropriate iron-removal chemistry addresses compatible iron contamination; it is not a universal treatment for tar, mineral deposits or structural rust. Steam, air and other tools are selected for the surface and task. These methods serve different purposes rather than acting as interchangeable claims. The preparation has to suit the protective product that follows.
Will the treatment repair existing rust?
No cleaning or undercoating service replaces metal already lost to corrosion. Light surface corrosion and a structurally weakened component are different problems. Flaking, perforation or suspected structural damage requires assessment before coating. A darker finish can change appearance without restoring strength. We want customers to understand preservation as the goal, rather than assume a coated underside has been repaired or certified safe.
Which areas need special care?
Application requires controlled coverage rather than spraying every visible component. Brake friction surfaces and exhaust components are not protective-coating targets. Existing rubber, plastics, coatings and other materials need compatibility checks for the chosen formula. Access to enclosed frame sections or body cavities is a separate coverage question. A photo of an exposed axle cannot demonstrate that every hidden cavity has also been treated.
How should I choose between cleaning and protection?
Choose cleaning when the immediate problem is contamination or when you want accessible condition exposed for assessment. Choose protection when the vehicle is suitable and you want a barrier applied after preparation. Compare soft and drying finishes by the selected product, renewal needs and included coverage. The most expensive option is useful only when its defined scope meets a need that the lower-priced option does not.
How do I plan the shop visit?
This is a drop-off service at 2725 North Nevada Avenue in Colorado Springs. The booking window includes the work involved, not just the minutes spent spraying. Preparation, access, drying requirements and reassembly can matter more than spray time. For a proposed new coating package, release timing must follow its selected system rather than borrowing the six-hour Fluid Film appointment or assuming that touch-dry means fully cured.
Where do I drop off my vehicle?
2725 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. This service is performed at our shop.
Is the $225 wash charged again with my Fluid Film treatment?
No. The confirmed Fluid Film package includes its preparation. A separate $225 wash is not automatically added. Additional condition-related work requires an agreed quote.
