Trim & badges · in-shop
Window surrounds, badges, mirror caps and door handles blacked out in matte or gloss vinyl — or badges removed cleanly. A small job that changes the whole character of the vehicle, and it is reversible.
Short answer
It is quoted to the vehicle. The price depends on how many pieces — window trim, badges, mirror caps, handles, grille surround — and how much of each has to come off to be wrapped properly. Send a photo of the chrome you want gone and you get a real number.
What we black out
Same vinyl and heat-forming technique used on a full wrap, on the trim that makes a car look dated.

Chrome delete uses the same wrap material and technique as a full panel.
Wrapping a vehicle’s chrome trim — window surrounds, badges, mirror caps, handles — in black vinyl. It gives a cleaner, darker look without painting anything.
The original chrome is preserved underneath, so it can go back to factory when you sell.

Done properly, yes. Badges are loosened with heat, released with fishing line or a plastic tool rather than pried, and the adhesive is taken off with a dedicated remover.
On older cars the paint under a badge can be a slightly different shade from the panel around it, because it has had less sun. We tell you before we start if that is likely.

Yes, and it often is. A chrome delete pairs naturally with a contrast roof or a partial wrap, and trim can be done before or after 3M paint protection film goes on.
Book them together and it is one drop-off.

17+ years · professionally trained · Gtechniq accredited
Gtechniq accredits us for coatings; for film the brand is 3M. The same people who correct the paint lay the vinyl and the film, which is why the prep is never skipped.
Every roll of film in the building is 3M. There is no second brand for the price-sensitive job.

17+
Seventeen-plus years of professional detailing. Reading a surface before touching it is the part of the job that experience buys, and it decides every step after it.
Vinyl and film bond to clean paint, not to grime. Every wrap and film job starts with a full decontamination wash.
Edges, curves and recesses are heat-formed into place so the material follows the body line instead of pulling taut and lifting later.

Where we work
Done in the shop at 2725 N Nevada Ave. Customers drive in from across the county.
ST6 North Nevada is the in-shop location: detailing, paint correction, Gtechniq ceramic coating, 3M paint protection film, window tint and vinyl, all under one roof in controlled light.
At 6,035 feet the sun is harder on paint, plastics and leather than at sea level, and winter leaves magnesium chloride and sand on everything. Most of what we fix is Colorado doing what Colorado does.

Chrome delete questions

It is quoted to the vehicle, based on how many pieces are being done and how much has to come off to wrap them properly. Send a photo for a real number.
Yes. The vinyl comes off and the original chrome is preserved underneath.
Not when it is done properly with heat, line and a dedicated adhesive remover. On older cars the paint under a badge can be slightly less faded than the panel around it.
Either. Matte reads more aggressive; gloss sits closer to factory black trim. We can show you both on the car.
Yes. It pairs with a partial or full wrap, and with 3M paint protection film.
