Why aircraft differ

This is not automotive detailing on an airplane.

Cabin materials, paint systems and polished metal all need different chemistry and technique.

What is different about detailing an aircraft?

Materials and consequences. Aircraft paint systems, composite panels, acrylic windows and bare polished metal are not automotive clear coat, and the wrong chemical or pad pressure on a composite or control surface is a real problem, not a cosmetic one.

Every product and method is chosen for the surface it touches.

Where do you work?

Where the aircraft sits. Hangars and FBO ramps at Colorado Springs Airport and nearby fields, when the facility clears us in. The aircraft never has to move for us.

Access is usually the longest lead time, so tell us who clears us in when you book.

Can I combine services?

Yes, and most owners do — interior, exterior, brightwork and coating prep in one visit keeps downtime to a minimum. The estimate above adds interior and exterior together.

Send the aircraft type and what you want addressed and we will scope the full visit.

Gtechniq Accredited Installer

Not a car with wings.

17+ years · professionally trained · Gtechniq accredited

A single-engine piston and a large-cabin jet are both a major asset. The failure mode on an aircraft is not a swirl mark — it is the wrong chemical or pad on a composite panel. Aircraft-safe products and methods only, from the same accredited crew.

Aircraft skins, composites and polished metal are not automotive clear coat. They are treated differently.

Years in the trade

Seventeen-plus years of professional detailing. Reading a surface before touching it is the part of the job that experience buys, and it decides every step after it.

At the hangar or ramp

Aircraft are detailed where they sit — hangars and FBO ramps at Colorado Springs Airport and nearby fields, when the facility clears us in.

Aircraft-safe process

Paint systems, composites, windows and polished metal each get products made for them. Nothing automotive goes on an aircraft surface by default.

You know who is working on it

Answered straight. If yours is not here, call the shop and ask.

01Do you work at Colorado Springs Airport?

Yes. We work at KCOS hangars and FBO ramps, and nearby fields, when the facility clears us in. Tell us who clears us in when you book.

02How much does aircraft detailing cost?

Cabin detailing runs $250–$750 by aircraft; exterior wash from $249, wash and spray wax from $499, oxidation removal and polish from $800, and Gtechniq ceramic coating from $2,000. Brightwork and de-ice boots are priced by scope.

03Why is aircraft detailing priced differently from a car?

Because a Cessna 172 and a large-cabin jet are not the same labour, and neither are a well-kept cabin and one that has flown all season. Pricing is built from category, scope and condition.

04Can I book interior, exterior and brightwork together?

Yes. Most owners combine services in one visit.

05What aircraft do you detail?

Single-engine and twin pistons, turboprops, very light and light jets, and midsize and large-cabin business jets.
