Protection & maintenance

Tier 2 · Clean + protect

Adds protective material and application to the included preparation.

1Underbody wash · from $225Cleaning only: removes contamination; leaves no lasting protective film.
2Fluid Film · from $325Annual protection: up to 1 year, with wheels-off preparation included.
3Woolwax · from $450Extended soft film: manufacturer claims 2–3 years; exposed areas need renewal as conditions require.
4Dinitrol · from $7505+ year installer estimate for a complete preparation and cavity system; annual inspections and touch-ups.
5Waxoyl · from $9005–8 year installer estimate for a new-vehicle underbody/cavity package; formula and coverage confirmed with your quote.

Protection life is an expectation, not a warranty. Exposure, abrasion, preparation and coverage affect results. A higher price alone does not prove a longer lifespan.

*4941/CAR is the Dinitrol candidate. Waxoyl Plus stays soft; 21 cures tack-free. Final new-service systems remain to be selected.

Will a higher price remove deeper rust?

No. Price tiers compare cleaning and protective systems. They do not represent progressively deeper rust repair or restore lost metal.

What the lifespan estimates mean

Fluid Film: up to 1 year. Woolwax: 2–3 years claimed, with exposed-area renewal around 2 years or as needed. *Dinitrol 5+ years and Waxoyl 5–8 years are other installers’ complete-system estimates, not confirmed ST6 service lifespans or warranties. Annual inspection and wear-related touch-ups remain important.

Before you book

Quick answers.

Is preparation included with Fluid Film?

Yes. Lift, four-wheel removal, degreasing, appropriate iron treatment, air/steam/chemical preparation and application are included. The standalone $225 wash is not automatically added.

Where is drop-off?

2725 North Nevada Avenue, Colorado Springs. Wash appointments take approximately 3½ hours; Fluid Film uses a six-hour day-drop-off window.

Does coating repair structural rust?

No. Existing corrosion and compatibility need assessment. Weakened or missing metal requires separate repair.

Which product lasts longest?

Fluid Film describes up to one year. Woolwax claims 2–3 years, with exposed undercarriage renewal around every other year or as needed. Other installers estimate 5+ years for a complete Dinitrol 4941/cavity system and 5–8 years for a new-vehicle Waxoyl underbody/cavity system. These are external estimates, not confirmed ST6 lifespans or warranties. Annual inspection and damage touch-ups apply. These are different maintenance systems; the prices do not establish a tested longest-lasting ranking.

What is the difference between underbody cleaning and undercoating?

Underbody cleaning removes accessible salt, road grime and oily buildup. Undercoating adds corrosion-inhibiting material to suitable prepared surfaces. Cleaning alone does not leave a protective coating.

Is the $225 wash charged on top of Fluid Film?

No. The listed Fluid Film treatment includes its stated preparation. A separate $225 wash is not automatically added. Extra preparation charges for unusual contamination or condition must be quoted before work; that surcharge schedule is still being defined.

Are Woolwax, Dinitrol and Waxoyl available to book?

These three packages are being developed. Displayed prices are the adopted price schedule; final products, coverage and booking availability remain to be confirmed. Cleaning and Fluid Film have service-specific booking links.

Does every package include treatment inside the frame and doors?

No universal cavity-treatment inclusion has been established. Fluid Film’s confirmed scope covers the listed wheels-off underbody preparation and application. Internal frame rails, doors and other cavities need an explicitly defined coverage scope for each package.
