Polished metal · de-ice boots
Leading edges, spinners, trim, polished metal and de-ice boots — the presentation areas that take time. Handled with the right tools and patience, and priced individually by scope.
Short answer
It is priced individually by scope. How much polished metal the aircraft has, its condition and whether de-ice boots are included all change the number. Most owners add it to an exterior wash or paint restoration visit.
What we do
Priced by scope. Tell us the aircraft and which areas.

Paint restoration →How it works
Polished metal and de-ice boots each need different products from the paint.
Because the amount of polished metal varies hugely between aircraft, and so does its condition. Spinners, leading edges and trim take time to bring up without marring the surrounding paint.
Pricing by scope means you only pay for the metal the aircraft actually has.

With cleaners and dressings made for de-ice boots, not automotive tyre or trim products. Boots are cleaned and inspected as we go.
Anything that looks like damage is pointed out, not dressed over.

Yes, and it usually is — with an exterior wash, a wash and wax, or paint restoration.
One visit, less downtime.

A single-engine piston and a large-cabin jet are both a major asset. The failure mode on an aircraft is not a swirl mark — it is the wrong chemical or pad on a composite panel. Aircraft-safe products and methods only, from the same accredited crew.
Aircraft skins, composites and polished metal are not automotive clear coat. They are treated differently.

17+
Seventeen-plus years of professional detailing. Reading a surface before touching it is the part of the job that experience buys, and it decides every step after it.
Aircraft are detailed where they sit — hangars and FBO ramps at Colorado Springs Airport and nearby fields, when the facility clears us in.
Paint systems, composites, windows and polished metal each get products made for them. Nothing automotive goes on an aircraft surface by default.
