How often should a city or company fleet be detailed?

Short answer: interiors on a regular schedule, undercarriages every winter, and as much as possible done at your yard so trucks stay in service. It’s how we handle fleets like the City of Fountain’s fire and police units.

Short Answer

How often does each vehicle need it?

It depends on how hard it works. A unit that runs every shift with a different crew needs its interior done on a set schedule, not whenever somebody finally complains. Outside and underneath, it’s about the season. In a Colorado winter, mag chloride is what eats trucks. We set the schedule with you, vehicle by vehicle.

City of Fountain fire & police

We take care of fleet units for the City of Fountain’s fire and police departments. Those vehicles have to be ready when a call comes in, so we work around their schedule.

What Wears A Fleet

What wears a fleet out first?

Shared cabs, mag chloride underneath and road film on vans that never stop. Those three show up on every account.

Shared cabs

Different drivers every shift, plus food, mud and boots. When nobody owns the cab, nobody takes care of it.

Mag chloride underneath

De-icer stays wet on the frame, brake lines and underbody all winter. Washing it off is the cheap part.

Vans that live on the road

Your van drives around with your name on it all day. A dirty one says something about the business.

A Starting Schedule

What does a fleet schedule look like?

Shift vehicles get interiors most often, work trucks and vans run on a regular cycle, and every unit gets undercarriage care in winter. We set the real intervals with you. A sensible starting point:

Shift vehiclesShared-crew units, patrol and response vehicles: interiors on the most frequent interval.
Work trucks and vansInterior resets and exterior washes on a regular cycle, heavier in mud season.
Winter undercarriageUndercarriage wash after storms, plus Fluid Film before the season.
Exterior protectionA Gold Detail with sealant a couple of times a year keeps paint and decals from baking.
EmergenciesSpills and sick passengers go to our quick response team, not the next scheduled visit.
One invoiceOne point of contact and one invoice for the whole account.
A Yard Day

How does a fleet day at your yard run?

A few units at a time, washed and reset with our own water and power, so the rest stay in service. Bigger jobs come to the shop.

De-icer off first

Undercarriage foamed and rinsed so mag chloride isn’t sitting on the frame. Units rotate through a few at a time so the rest stay in service.

FAQ

What else do fleet managers ask us?

Still unsure? Call (719) 517-7220, open 7 days.

How often should fleet vehicles be detailed?

It depends on use. Vehicles that run every shift with rotating crews need interiors done most often; we set the interval with you by vehicle type. In winter, add an undercarriage wash after storms when mag chloride is on the roads.

Can you detail our fleet at our yard?

Yes. Our mobile rigs carry their own water and power, so we work at your yard or station without hookups and without pulling the whole fleet out of service at once. Bigger jobs come to our shop at 2725 N Nevada Ave.

Do you work with city and first-responder fleets?

Yes. We detail fleet units for the City of Fountain’s fire department and police, along with company fleets including Hammers Construction, Global Underground and Trane.

Do you offer a fleet discount?

New fleet accounts get 25% off, applied at checkout. Nothing to sign up for, and no deposit.

What about emergencies like a sick passenger or a spill?

We have a quick response team for interior emergencies like vomit and spills. Text (719) 517-7220 and we’ll tell you how fast we can get there.

How do you protect fleet vehicles from mag chloride?

Undercarriage cleaning to get the de-icer off, then protection such as Fluid Film on the frame and underbody. Our mag chloride protection page covers what’s done.

Bring it to the shop. We will tell you what it actually needs.

No deposit to book. You pay after the work is finished and you have looked at it.
