9-Year · Crystal Serum Ultra
Carfax-registered, plus Gtechniq’s nine-year guarantee in your name.
Every Gtechniq coating we install gets registered on the vehicle’s Carfax with a nationwide warranty. People ask what that does for them when they sell, and how it’s different from Gtechniq’s own guarantee. Here’s what it does, and what it doesn’t.

It puts the coating in the vehicle’s history. Every coating we install is registered on the vehicle’s Carfax with a nationwide warranty, so when you sell, the buyer, the dealer or the appraiser doesn’t have to take your word that it was done professionally.
Once a coating is on, you can’t see it. The record is how the next owner knows it’s there.
The Carfax record says the work was done. The Gtechniq guarantee is the manufacturer’s promise on the coating itself, and it depends on which coating you choose.

Carfax-registered, plus Gtechniq’s nine-year guarantee in your name.

Carfax-registered, and registerable on Gtechniq’s guarantee portal.

Carfax-registered. Not on Gtechniq’s guarantee portal, and we’d rather say so up front.
What Gtechniq covers, what it never did and how a claim works are on our ceramic coating warranty page.
It lets a buyer check the coating instead of trusting the listing. I can’t tell you it adds a set dollar amount, and I’d be careful with anyone who does. Here’s what it does do.

“It’s ceramic coated” is easy to say in a listing. A registered install is something a buyer can check.

The record helps, but what sells a car is paint that still looks good. That comes from the correction and the upkeep.

Coated paint releases dirt and bugs with a wash, so getting it ready for photos is a wash, not a correction.
Inspect it once a year, wash it properly and keep the paperwork with the title. A coating nobody looked after won’t impress a buyer, record or not.

Crystal Serum Ultra’s guarantee depends on it. Our yearly inspection is free, and a maintenance top-up is $199 if a panel needs it.

Hand wash with a pH-neutral shampoo, no brush tunnels. Our aftercare guide has the routine.

Keep the guarantee card and invoice with the title. Hand them over with the keys.
A DIY coating has no installer record, so document it yourself if you want a buyer to believe it. DIY is welcome here. Here’s what to keep:

When ST6 installs it, yes. Every Gtechniq coating we install is registered on the vehicle’s Carfax with a nationwide warranty, so the work is part of the vehicle’s history instead of a receipt in a drawer.
No. The Carfax registration records that the coating was professionally installed. The Gtechniq guarantee is the manufacturer’s, registered in your name: nine years on Crystal Serum Ultra, registerable on Crystal Serum Light, and not offered on EXO v5.
No one can promise a dollar figure. What a coating does is keep the paint looking newer for longer, and a Carfax record lets a buyer or dealer see the protection was done by an accredited installer rather than taking your word for it.
The Carfax record stays with the vehicle, because it is attached to the vehicle’s history. For the Gtechniq guarantee, keep the guarantee card and paperwork with the car and ask us about it before you sell.
Not from us. A coating you apply yourself has no installer record. Keep receipts, product names and dated photos if you want to show a buyer what was done.
Crystal Serum Ultra’s guarantee is conditional on a yearly inspection and proper maintenance. Our yearly inspection is free, and coating maintenance is $199 when a top-up is needed.
No deposit to book. You pay after the work is finished and you have looked at it.
