Windshield chip repair warranty
Lifetime warranty on the repair. If you pay for a chip repair and that repaired damage later cracks, we refund what you paid for the repair.
01 / First, get safely parked
Check the damage without adding another problem.
If you are still driving, keep your attention on the road. Wait until you are safely parked before inspecting the glass, taking a photo or contacting a shop. If damage obstructs your view or the glass is badly damaged, do not assume that continuing to drive is appropriate; arrange help suited to the situation.
Once parked, note where the impact is and whether you can see a small chip, lines extending from it, or damage close to an edge. You do not need to name the break correctly. Tell us what you can see and whether it has changed since the impact.
A photo can help a preliminary conversation, but it cannot show every layer of damage or replace an inspection. Do not press on the glass to test the chip. The useful next step is an assessment, not trying to force a decision from the sound of the hit alone.
02 / You may still have a repair option
A rock strike does not automatically mean replacement.

A repairable chip is treated in the existing windshield. The damaged area is prepared, air is removed and repair resin is injected and cured. At ST6, an eligible chip repair takes about 30 minutes while you wait in the lobby. The vehicle stays here at our North Nevada shop; we do not provide mobile glass service.
Size is one consideration, not a complete diagnosis. Location, depth, spreading lines, contamination and the condition of the surrounding glass can change the answer. Damage near the driver’s view, an edge or a camera area needs particular attention. Our repairability guide explains the questions behind the inspection.
We assess the damage before deciding whether repair is the appropriate service. If it is beyond repair, replacement is quoted separately and performed in shop. A replacement has a different work and scheduling process; the approximately 30-minute chip-repair time does not apply to a new windshield.
03 / Make the next decision simple
Know the price before you make the trip.
The first chip is $60, with each additional chip $10. You can call (719) 517-7220 or text (719) 521-6992, or come to 2725 N Nevada Ave. No appointment, online form or deposit is required for chip repair. No appointment or hour’s notice is required.
We are open Monday through Saturday, 6am–8pm, and Sunday, 8am–6pm. If you are working around a fixed deadline, contact us about your timing. The repair itself is approximately 30 minutes; that is not a promise that every arrival will be finished within 30 minutes.
Insurance can be an option, but coverage and your out-of-pocket amount depend on the policy. Colorado does not require universal zero-deductible glass coverage. Our insurance guide explains that distinction; the listed self-pay price gives you another way to understand the decision.

04 / A realistic result
Repair the break. Understand the remaining mark.
Windshield repair is not a promise to erase every trace of an impact. A faint mark can remain after the resin has cured. We explain the repair option and the expected appearance so you can make the decision with a clear understanding of what the service does.
Dana Starr has worked in auto glass since January 1999 and holds the NWRD Certified Windshield Repair Technician credential. That experience informs the assessment; it does not turn every damaged windshield into a repair candidate.
Prompt assessment is useful because damage and contamination can change the repair options. There is no reliable countdown that tells every driver exactly when a chip will spread. If the damage is fresh, you can act on it today without waiting for a scheduled appointment.
Before you come in
Your questions, answered.
Can I come in today without an appointment?
Yes. ST6 accepts walk-ins for same-day chip repair. An hour’s notice is not required. Glass work is in shop at 2725 N Nevada Ave, Colorado Springs.
Does every rock chip need a new windshield?
No. Some damage can be repaired in the existing windshield. Size, location, depth and condition affect the decision, so inspection is needed.
How long is a chip repair?
An eligible chip repair takes about 30 minutes while you wait in the lobby. That is the repair duration, not a guaranteed total visit time.
How much does it cost?
The first chip is $60 and each additional chip is $10. Windshield replacement is a different service and is quoted separately.
Can you tell from a photo whether it will repair?
A photo can support a preliminary conversation. Inspection determines whether the damage is suitable for repair.
Do you come to my location?
No. All ST6 glass work is performed in shop at 2725 N Nevada Ave. Call (719) 517-7220 or text (719) 521-6992 with questions before coming in.
What is the warranty on a paid windshield chip repair?
Lifetime warranty on the repair. If you pay for a chip repair and that repaired damage later cracks, we refund what you paid for the repair.
