RV detailing questions before you book.
How much does RV detailing cost?+
Exterior is priced per linear foot in three tiers — T1 Wash & Protect at $16.67/ft, T2 Polish & Seal at $30.00/ft, T3 Full Oxidation Restoration at $48.89/ft. On a 28-foot rig that is roughly $466.76, $840.00 or $1,368.92. Interior is three flat tiers regardless of length: Basic Interior Clean $225, Detail & Condition $425, Deep Interior Restore $650. The estimator shows regular pricing, a 10% exterior sale deduction and the sale total. A $300 exterior minimum applies before the discount. Interior prices are separate. RV class, condition and access move the final number after inspection, so send photos for an exact quote.
How do I know which exterior tier I need?+
Run your hand down a sidewall. If chalk transfers to your hand you are looking at T2 or T3 depending on how heavy it is, and if the roof is streaking the sides every time it rains that is T3 territory. If it comes away clean and you just want the rig maintained, T1 is the right call. Send photos of the worst panel and we will confirm before you book rather than guessing on the day.
Why is the exterior priced by the foot instead of a flat rate?+
Because a 45-foot Class A is not the same job as an 18-foot camper van, and length is the honest proxy for how much surface there is to wash, correct and protect. Tier picks the depth of work, length sets the scale, and the two multiply. It also means a longer rig costs more for a real reason you can check yourself, rather than a number we picked after looking at the vehicle.
Why is the interior not priced by the foot as well?+
Because a cabin reset is a cabin reset — the wipe-down, the vacuum, the extraction and the conditioning are much the same amount of work whether the rig is 22 feet or 40. Pricing that by the foot would just penalise the bigger rig for floor space nobody is cleaning differently. Three flat tiers, and every one of them covers the full cabin.
Do I need to be present for the appointment?+
No — as long as we have access to the RV and it is parked somewhere we can work safely, you do not need to be on site. We are fully self-contained with onboard water and power, so nothing is needed from you or the facility.
Can you work on my RV at a storage facility?+
Yes. Most storage lots allow mobile detailing as long as we are not blocking access lanes, and onboard water and power mean the job works even without hookups — common at facilities like Rockrimmon Self Storage or T-Gap Storage. Tell us the facility’s rules when you book and we will plan around them.
Can you fix chalky, oxidised gel coat?+
Usually, yes — that is what oxidation correction is for, and it is the single biggest visual change on most rigs. How far it comes back depends on how long it has been left and how deep the oxidation has gone. Send photos of the worst panel and we will tell you honestly what to expect rather than promising a finish the gel coat may not have left in it.
Do you do the roof?+
Yes, and it matters more than most owners think. A neglected roof is what streaks your sidewalls every time it rains. Roof cleaning and restoration are part of the exterior detail, and vinyl UV protection goes on afterwards.
Can you ceramic coat an RV?+
Yes. ST6 is a Gtechniq Accredited Detailer, so we can install professional-grade RV coating systems on gel coat, vinyl and roof surfaces — the kind not sold to the public. It is quoted per rig after the surfaces are assessed, because a coating over oxidised gel coat is a coating installed over a problem.
How fast can you get out to me?+
Send the length, the location and a few photos and we will confirm quickly. Online booking generally needs 24 hours’ notice; next-day and emergency service are available by phone. Storage-facility and campground access rules are usually what sets the date rather than our schedule.
